Store and brand boundaries
Identify which Shopify stores, legal entities, brands, catalogs, channels, and customer populations participate, and who is authorized to manage each scope.
Multi-store and multi-brand
Connect approved Shopify stores to a shared operating framework while preserving each brand's eligibility, funding, currency, refund rules, and reconciliation records.
An illustrative e-commerce use case. Program terms, verified events, funding, approval and provider capabilities determine actual qualification, virtual card issuance, use and availability.
Use case snapshot
Program design
The merchant objective, qualifying purchase, calculation, refund treatment and virtual card terms should be clear to each customer.
Identify which Shopify stores, legal entities, brands, catalogs, channels, and customer populations participate, and who is authorized to manage each scope.
Assign funding, caps, eligible order currencies, accounting currency, card availability, and exchange treatment for each approved store or brand.
Document whether customer status or eligible activity can carry across brands, which identity signals may be used, and how consent and program terms apply.
Preserve store-level order and ledger records while defining the group view for funding, calculated rebates, issued cards, refunds, reversals, and outstanding value.
Lifecycle
The group opens a Shopify account, identifies participating stores and entities, completes required verification, and receives capabilities in approved stages.
Synchronized Shopify events are evaluated under the funding, eligibility, formula, currency, cap, fulfillment, and refund rules assigned to their store or brand.
Qualifying net purchase activity generates the approved rebate amount, which is attributed to the correct customer, store, brand, funder, and budget.
Approved value is issued on a virtual card where available, with store-level records feeding authorized consolidated reporting and reconciliation.
Program outcomes
Each approved store can retain its own offer rules, budget, currency, refund treatment, and operational accountability.
Shared approval, access, data, and reconciliation standards can be applied without forcing every brand into the same commercial formula.
Authorized teams can review funded value, qualifying orders, issued rebates, reversals, and balances by store, brand, program, and period.
Common questions
Yes. Participating stores can have separate eligible products, customer groups, formulas, currencies, budgets, caps, validation windows, and refund policies after review and approval.
Only when the program terms, customer identity model, permissions, data use, funding allocation, and applicable provider rules support approved cross-brand activity.
Non-Shopify platforms are evaluated separately for data quality, authorization, event coverage, refunds, currency, and operational fit. They are not automatically available through Shopify account registration.
